Fire in Tiraspol, Transnistria

Yuri and Oxana are a remarkable couple. From Ukraine, they moved to Tiraspol in the Transnistra region of Moldova and, after many years of hardship and opposition, built a thriving church and made a home for themselves and their eight children, five of whom are adopted. In 2016 that home burned down. The Minjin Project launched an appeal for assistance, and Peace Corps volunteers working with Phoenix Centre, responded immediately. Here's what Yuri said:

Dear David,

thank you very much for arranging all the help I recently got from the Peace Corps and Phoenix Centre. It is all good and useful for us on the right time. I feel encouraged supported and loved, thank you brother!

I look forward to seeing you in Transnistria!

with love Yurii
